Welcome to klangstaub musik!

 

We created the 'klangstaub musik' web label to promote and distribute the musical work of Bernhard Günter and Gary Smith working together as Klangstaub, as well as solo. Klangstaub is a duo playing contemporary improvised music, blending instrumental playing with real time looping and live electronics, having developed their own particular, highly original style.

 

This site will provide continuously updated news regarding Klangstaub's work, its development, and about concerts, collaborations and releases. It also includes an online shop providing downloads of Klangstaub releases in excellent quality and various formats.

 

Downloading our music is not free of charge as it is the result of years of musical training and hard work, and requires quite an effort to create - most of our lives and passion goes into our work. We certainly do not create music for the sake of earning money, but instruments and musical equipment cannot be downloaded for free from peer-to-peer networks either...

 

We do not, however, use any form of copy protection, DRM or watermarking, trusting our audience to respect our work and not take it for granted. You may thus play the music files purchased on as many players and devices as you chose, write it to CDR  to make safety copies of it, and there is nothing in what you get that will make expire its use some day.
